The conference on occasion of the Berlin Air Show ILA2006 aims to analyse the present situation for the European aerospace industry. As important part of the global aerospace industry it is characterised by a netting of structures of competition and co-operation with others. This miscellaneous situation will be reflected for the civil and military aerospace. Furthermore, the conference focuses on
the role of the Eastern European countries and their technological capabilities for future co-operation. In this manner, the conference reflects the main focus of the ILA.
